sweets and sours...

i am sorry that i haven't been a very good blogger the last few weeks! i am trying to get caught up with everything... so here are my sweets and sours!

sours:

~the rain was so hard last night that i think an entire tree was demolished in my front yard!

~even with all of our rain... it is nothing compared to what is hitting lousiana right now! kev's sister is there and is doing well so far... just preparing for the worst!

~kevin started a new shift at his job last week... noon to midnight! yuck! i really am not planning on seeing him much anymore! lol! that's too bad, cuz i kinda like him!

sweets:

~it rained last night/today! i love the rain! it makes me so happy! the cool, cloudy days are the best!

~have you ever tried a frazzil? they are a really wonderful icy drink at most chevron stations! mmmmm! so delicious! the tango mango flavor is my favorite!

~my best friends mom (maryann) and sister (kristine) moved in with us! they just moved here from colorado and are staying with us until they are able to find a home to buy. i am loving having them here! they are hoping they can find a home within their price range soon, but i am in no hurry to have them move out!

~in the process of finding a home, maryann, was looking for a job! she found not one... but two! lol! she just started the first one last night! she is pretty excited! kristine works from home, so she started working a couple of weeks ago.

~ok, as i mentioned before, maryann is looking for a home. well, we started looking for them a week or so before she got here and have gone to look with an amazing realtor a couple times a week for the last 3-4 weeks! we have seen so many houses! some good... some bad... wow! lots of fun places out there!

~last monday my dad turned 60! i was hoping that i could go out and surprise him! but i wasn't able to go! i did call him though! i sure hope he had a good day! i sent him a pretty cool gift! (i will tell you more about it when i know for sure that he got it! ) one of his friends sent him this! i think it is pretty great too! check it out!

~i am really having fun on facebook lately! it has been great to catch up with old friends from all aspects of my life!

~i can't remember if i have admitted this to you yet... but i am addicted to solitaire! i love it! i have to play it every day! at first it was just plain solitaire, but now i am getting hooked on spider solitaire too! its a bit harder, but i sure love the challenge! with spider, i have aced the easy level...i am now working on the intermediate. lol!

~there is going to be a Time Out for Women conference in logan on 9/12-9/13! i am so excited! i have never been to this before and can hardly wait to go! that is my mom's 60th birthday weekend too! so she is going to come up and we are going to go together!

i hope you are all doing well! please comment and tell me the haps in your lives! love ya!

I just had to comment on solitaire. My husband's family are a bunch of fiends with that came. Because of this, we have solitaire wars, where you each go through the variations of solitaire games with your own decks (I know at least 5 or 6) and keep track of who does better. So, if you are ever looking for a new version, come talk to Jeff or me. We've got you covered--once you start playing, it is a bit addictive.

I am so glad that you are back in the land of the bloggers.. Missed you my friend....

Ok, I admit too - I am such a huge fan of solitaire! I love Spider so much and honestly - almost forgot how to play the other kind... But recently discovered that I have solitaire on my iPod of all places. I didn't even know there were games on there - but apparently my boys knew because they have saved high scores... lol

Anyway - gotta love it! I don't play with cards though anymore because it is too easy for me to cheat. :)
