who am i... Libra
Balance is the keyword for this sign, and when it comes to keeping everything on an even keel, a Libra will lead the pack. Peace loving and judicial, this sign abhors being alone. Partnerships are very important for the Libra, especially those on a personal level. With their winning personalities and cooperative style, they aren't apt to be alone for long!

my special day...
Wednesday, October 21, 2009
this, that and the other!

my birthday was last week and i wanted to share a few pics of the exciting day! i have more, just haven't downloaded them to the computer yet! :)
first of all... the end of september i came to work and my office was totally decked out! streamers, balloons, birthday banners and a cool countdown chain!
as you all know i totally love my birthday! so the decorations were awesome!!

as i was leaving work the day before my birthday i came out to my car... looking like this...
i just have to say! i loved it!! :)
the tires were "spotted"
balloons tied to my side mirrors
writing all over every window!
the front said "happy birthday" - but it was done backwards so i could read it while i was driving!

the back window said "honk its my birthday" fun!
there was also writing on my car paint too- that is the only thing i was a little worried about... wasn't sure how it would effect my paint.
there were paper confetti sprinkles all over the car.. windshield, back window... everywhere!
and to top it all off... it was shrink wrapped too! :) crazy! but fun!
i have more to share... but it will have to wait for another day! :)

recording my life...
i am going to do better!
here is a quote that was part of the lesson!
"We urge our young people (that's me) to begin today and write and keep records of all the important things in their lives.
I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren, and others, on through the generations. Each of us is important to those who are near and dear to us and as our posterity read of our life's experiences, they, too, will come to know and love us. And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted."
-Spencer W. Kimball
i am going to be better about sharing our story...

mother's day?
i have to say... i echo these thoughts! i have a hard time going to church on mother's day... this year i had to work a graveyard shift on saturday night going into sunday... but i don't know that i would have gone, even if i hadn't worked...
this year was fabulous though! the day was celebrated with close friends and family! a very good way to help me remember what i should be celebrating...
maryruth goes on to say...
" ... There are so many wonderful women who deserve to celebrate today. ... that there are so many great, wonderful women in the history of the world who were never "mothers" in the traditional sense. One of my favorite examples in Mother Teresa She changed the world with her goodness and kindness and yet do we dismiss her because never had a child of her own?
So while I think its absolutely important to celebrate Motherhood (and I hope nobody feels like I'm diminishing that)...and I'm sooo grateful for the amazingly wonderful Mother that I have... and the mother that I hope to be... I also think it so important to celebrate Womanhood. Because really one woman can change the world. Happy Womanhood day."
i want to be like this... able to look past the hurt and tears...
i know that i will... it will just take some time. i have always known that i will be the best "aunt" ever! my friends kids will be super spoiled! :)
all in all, i am doing great. and i really feel at peace with this path i have been given... just everynow and again i feel this sadness...
no worries! i look forward to the future and what new adventures it holds!

E- my other blog, Everyday 2009, has been fun! i find that i am looking for the right thing to document each day!
own a scrapbook paper company called Paper Loft! if you ever see this paper ok... so another friend, kris, and i have been trying to convince sandi to create a pink and brown line of paper for a couple of years! well, they just announced their new lines for 2009 and amongst them is a pink and brown line! wahoo!
but the news gets better!!!! they named one of the designs after ME!!! and another design after kris! how cool is that! i haven't seen the paper yet, but kris said it is beautiful! i am so excited! i can hardly stand it!

tv thoughts...
moonlight: this show is no longer on tv and i am sad about that! i thought it was a great show ! and he was a cutie! the story line was a good one, and i was waiting for even more to happen! i would love to see it come back on the air...
the mentalist: this is a new show this season and i am really enjoying it! the main guy is pretty quirky and fun! i think he is very interesting and i am having fun watching it!

survivor: this is always a good one to watch! i have only been watching it a few years... but am a faithful watcher now! i like the host and each year the cast members are interesting. this year i have not been disappointed... always a good one!
ghost whisperer: i have watched this show from the very beginning! i lov
e it. i have to admit that i have to record it and watch it the next day... when the sun is out. no nighttime watching for me! i am not happy that they are changing all of the characters though! i am bummed that the professor friend is gone and now the husband! not good! i bawled like a baby on both departures! not sure what is going to happen now!
fringe: this is one of my new favorites! i have to admit, i started watching it because of hottie, joshua jackson! but the show is very interesting! i little edgy, but i like it! and let's be honest, he is really fun to look at!
amazing race: this is another reality show that i enjoy! the people on here drive me crazy sometimes! i have a hard time watching all of the bickering, but it must be very stressful to be on the race with your loved ones. it seems that they are the ones we can "get away" with being mean to! why is that?

the biggest loser: i have always been a fan of this show! someday, i would like to be part of it... not sure i have the courage or strength though! this season has been a hard one for me to watch... a few of the blue team couples are driving me crazy and they are there to win money, not necessarily to loose weight and change their lives! very frustrating!
